Vernon Burton will be speaking on “The Civil War, Emancipation Proclamation, and Abraham Lincoln” at this year’s Annual Meeting of the South Carolina Historical Society. The event will be held at 12:00 on Saturday, Feb. 16th at the Carolina Yacht Club in Charleston. Tickets are $65.00 and include lunch, Dr. Burton’s address, and a house tour.
