Annual benefits fair scheduled, free flu shots and more

BenefitsFairThe Office of Human Resources will host Clemson’s annual benefits fair from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Oct. 15 at Fike Recreation Center.

Consistent with this year’s theme, Balance = The Key to Health, Wealth and Happiness, the event will include FREE flu shots and exhibits on employee benefits, nutrition, exercise, wealth management, wellness, technology and other related topics. Each year, the benefits fair is a fun-filled opportunity for faculty and staff to learn more about their benefits, discounts and incentives.

Participating faculty and staff will receive a passport key, which will track all the exhibits they visit, and those who visit 20 or more exhibits will receive a prize before they leave. From insurance and retirement companies, university departments and organizations, to state vendors, cell phone providers, banks, local businesses, community organizations and wellness vendors, employees will have access to vendors who will help them better leverage their benefits. Exhibits will have interactive demonstrations, presentations and other fun activities related to wellness, financial management, and stress relief.

State Health Plan subscribers can receive their flu shots free of charge through Clemson’s Sullivan Center during the benefits fair. Employees who cannot spend a long time at the fair can avoid long lines by completing this form and faxing it to the Sullivan Center at 864-656-1123 by Oct. 9. Others can bring a copy of their insurance card to the fair to receive their shots. Employees can also sign up on site for CU4Health, a personal health screening.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gather with colleagues, enjoy refreshments, sign up for door prizes and, most importantly, learn first-hand that being a Clemson employee has its benefits.
