Have you ever faced a personal or professional brick wall and felt you had nowhere to turn? Get re-inspired by learning to listen your way to a creative solution!  Clemson Professors Russ Marion and Robin Kowalski will present interactive applications of their research at “Listen and Lead: Transforming Complaint through Collective Creativity” from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 in the Strom Thurmond Institute Auditorium.

This experiential CU BeTrue Leadership Symposium is free and open to the community.  Feel free to bag your lunch and join us! Free t-shirts will be given out – as long as they last!

Participants in the session will learn about Dr. Russ Marion’s research on complexity leadership through an interactive group exercise, and Dr. Robin Kowalski will present a case study related to her research on the nature of complaining behaviors. Participants in the session will also be introduced to the CU BeTrue Coaching Circle method, which focuses on practicing the skillsets of  mindfulness, deep listening, mirroring, and generative dialog in order to promote greater understanding and the use of collective creativity to solve problems and challenges we face on a daily basis.

The CU BeTrue Leadership Symposium is sponsored by The Chief Diversity Office and participants in the CU BeTrue Leadership Challenge.
