Clemson celebrates International Education Week

International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education that provides an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This annual initiative aims to promote international understanding and build support for international educational exchange by encouraging the development of programs that prepare Americans to live and work in a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study in the United States. IEW was first held in 2000 and today it’s celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide.

At Clemson we have numerous events being celebrated across campus to mark this week (Nov. 11 – 15, 2013). We encourage all students, faculty and staff to actively participate in the events and celebrate the week. For a complete listing of events at Clemson, click here.
