Clemson University will join with The International Center of the Upstate and Michelin to sponsor Upstate International Month in March. The month-long celebration seeks to create awareness and appreciation for international opportunities in the Upstate and encourages local engagement with international opportunities.
For Clemson, Upstate International Month presents an opportunity to heighten awareness and opportunities for the campus community, to promote a diverse population and to increase opportunities for students to study abroad in different cultures.
During Upstate International Month, the university will host events each week on campus:
Visit Upstate International’s website to learn more about area events.
As the world is now more globally connected than it has ever been before, Clemson remains an institution that can keep up with the times. As international business generates more jobs, brings in money to the local area and enhances interconnected businesses, Clemson has been an advocate to make the Upstate an important part of international education, both receiving international students and maintaining an award winning study abroad program. The university’s participation in Upstate International Month will not only raise awareness, but will encourage the Clemson community to engage locally and abroad.
