Due to inclement weather in the forecast, Tuesday’s (Aug. 20) convocation processional has been canceled. However, administrative officers and special guests whose starting point of the processional was Sikes Hall should meet either in Sikes Hall lobby at 8:30 a.m. – for bus transportation to the Brooks Center – or meet at the Brooks Center theatre at 8:50 a.m. These guests are asked to sit in the lower box area.
Faculty, staff, students and other guests should seat themselves in the Brooks Theatre (orchestra, dress circle, mezzanine and balcony sections) for the convocation ceremony that will begin at 9 a.m. A reception will follow convocation in the lobby of the Brooks Center.
This year’s Victor Hurst Convocation will feature a keynote address from President James F. Barker. More information on convocation can be found online.
