Clemson University public safety officials warn that severe weather, including tornadoes, are possible in the area this afternoon.
A tornado watch is in effect for the Upstate, including the main campus, meaning conditions are right for tornadoes to form.
Clemson’s SkyGuard weather service forecasts strong storms from 1 to 6 p.m. They may bring wind gusts up to 60 mph and large hail.
Stay alert to threatening weather and be prepared to take cover. If a tornado warning is issued, Clemson will send CU Safe Alert text and email messages and sound the campus warning sirens.
