Electrical outage for cable repairs scheduled for July 16

From 4:30 until 7 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, University Facilities will make repairs to cables located in a manhole that were damaged by two fault conditions. As a result, electrical outages will impact the following buildings:

Administrative Services Building, Band Practice Field, Barnette, Baseball Stadium, Bio-tech, Bottoms Area, Brooks Center, Cooper Library, East Chiller Plant, Endocrine Lab, Fike Recreation Center, Fluor Daniel, Godley Snell, Harris A. Smith, Hinson Chill Water Plant, Hydraulics Lab, IPTAY, Jervey, Kinard Hall, Landscape Services Area, Life Science Building, Littlejohn Coliseum, Martin Hall, Mauldin, McFadden, Memorial Stadium, Newman, P&A, Police Department, Raw Water Pump Station, Rowing facility, Rugby Field, Strom Thurmond Institute,
Walker Golf Maintenance, Y-Beach/East Beach, Upper Intramural Field

Building Security Coordinators of the impacted buildings have been notified. It is essential that these repairs be made as soon as possible before the failing cable breaks down again and causes more damage to the surrounding circuits.
