Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost Search Update (May 29, 2014)

The Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost Search Committee met twice in May. After reviewing more than 100 applications from candidates representing a broad spectrum of academic disciplines, divisions and top institutions, the committee reached broad consensus on roughly 10 candidates.

The committee will conduct offsite interviews of these candidates by mid-June with on-campus visits/forums projected to begin in late June and end in mid July.

The campus forums will be streamed online so those unable to attend can participate and submit questions for candidates. The archived videos will be posted as well.

Funk & Associates, the firm hired to conduct the search, reports that a record number of contacts were made in support of the search. More than half of the 400 contacts made resulted from nominations submitted by our extended Clemson family via the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost Search Web page, through the search committee chair and via the President’s Office.
