Have ideas for better internal communications? Here’s your chance to weigh in.
To help better understand what information that you want and need from Clemson, the university is conducting an internal communications survey for its faculty and staff.
Faculty and staff who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing to receive one of two free employee-parking placards. The placards are good for one year. Please note that for us to move forward with the drawing, we must have at least 950 completed surveys, so encourage your colleagues to participate! As of today, we have 401 completed surveys. If IPTAY can have assigned parking for season ticket holders, why not do the same for employees. If this was advertised, students would less likely park in those spots especially if they were towed and ticketed. Parking services may lose some revenue but think of the morale boost for employees. Also, there should be a few spots in front of each building for guests and special spots for loading/unloading. Thanks

Your idea sounds like one you might consider running by Dan Hofmann, director of parking services. I can share with you that Dan has a lot of ideas for parking/lots/spaces. I’ll be writing about those in a few weeks.

More and more faculty, staff and students who commute to Clemson from Greenville/Easley etc. are taking advantage of the Greenlink bus route. I’d like to think that this is helping a little with parking issues on campus. I haven’t checked lately, but is there some kind of parking pass that might reflect that many only drive to campus a few days a week (if that)? I only drive to Clemson on Sunday, which is the only day that Greenlink is not scheduled to run, yet I am paying a yearly rate, which I guess is determined according to daily parking use. What about a pass for bus travelers at a reduced rate?
