Get ahead of the flu with the help of the Joseph F. Sullivan Center’s Flu Shot Fridays!
The Sullivan Center will be offering flu shots to Clemson employees from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. every Friday during October and November. The cost is $25, and no appointment is necessary.
Employees can also schedule flu shot appointments for other days of the week by calling the Sullivan Center at 864-656-3076.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, seasonal flu activity in the U.S. can begin as early as October and most commonly peaks in January or February. The CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against this disease. Getting the flu vaccine as soon as it becomes available each year is recommended, and the protection from the vaccination will last throughout the flu season.
Housed on the first floor of Edwards Hall, the Joseph F. Sullivan Center is a nurse-managed health center that provides opportunities for Clemson students studying nursing, public health, recreation therapy, and other disciplines to practice in supervised, state-of-the-art settings. The Sullivan Center provides health services to all employees on the Clemson campus, and community outreach programs to local, underserved communities and individuals.
The center is part of the College of Health, Education and Human Development, which offers programs in nursing, public health sciences, education, and parks, recreation and tourism management.
