Inside Clemson

Clemson Home offers free lunch April 25

There IS such thing as a free lunch. Seriously.

Thanks to our friends at Clemson Home, please make plans to join your colleagues and friends at the fifth annual Clemson Home luncheon, which will be held from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at the Carillon Gardens and Amphitheater on Clemson’s main campus.

“This annual event has become a real celebration! It allows faculty, staff and students to come together outside of the classroom and the office” said Kathy Bush Hobgood, the university’s executive director of housing and dining. “For us, it’s a way to recognize the campus community and say thank you for their support of us during the year.”

Clemson faculty, staff and students will enjoy a lunch that includes:

  • Orange-Chipotle shredded chicken
  • Texas slaw
  • Vegan chilled Southwestern succotash
  • Vegetarian baked beans
  • Assorted no-nut Craveworthy Cookies
  • Sweet tea, lemonade and ice water
  • King of Pops

And what’s food without music? DJ Karma Groove will challenge participants to get their groove on during the event.

There is no charge for this lunch…because did we mention that it’s FREE?

Now, everyone knows that it NEVER rains in April. BUT in the extremely highly unlikely event of inclement weather, an updated location will be announced on April 25 through Clemson Home’s Twitter accounts, @clemsonhome and @clemsondining. And we’ll carry it through Inside Clemson as well.
