Lane closures in downtown Clemson may cause delays

In from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT):

Two lanes going on S.C. Highway 133 in downtown Clemson (near the bridge) will be closed for approximately two weeks to support the removal of asbestos on the bridge. Workers will close two lanes daily and reroute/shift traffic onto the other two lanes going out of town towards Daniel High school. The road will go from a four-lane to a two-lane thoroughfare until workers get the right side (Sonic side) of the bridge cleared from asbestos and will repeat the process on the other side. SCDOT reports that this project will support the eventual demolition of the bridge in that area.
