We here at Clemson University Libraries are excited to announce that the grand opening of the Brown Digital Resources Laboratory (DRL) will take place from 2 – 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. This newly renovated space is the result of a partnership between the Libraries, CCIT, Dell and the National Science Foundation and boasts cutting-edge technology that will be utilized by students and faculty in a variety of disciplines.

Some of the room’s most impressive features include the hiperwall, which is composed of 15 46-inch high-definition monitors, a 16-node computational cluster, a high definition video conferencing system and a projector with holographic image capabilities. Further, the video wall outside the room will soon be able to display announcements for upcoming events and a Twitter feed. Next time you’re in Cooper Library, come by the Brown DRL and see some of the amazing work being produced by faculty, staff and students in the space.
