Clemson University officials will make a special announcement at 2 p.m. today regarding new support to expand a bioengineering center and to fund research to treat some of the world’s most debilitating diseases. The announcement will be made live at the Madren Center’s Bellsouth auditorium by President Jim Clements, Dr. Larry Dooley, interim vice president for research, Dr. Naren Vyavahare, Hunter Endowed Chair and professor of bioengineering; and Dr. Roger Markwald, professor and chair of department of regenerative medicine and cell biology, Medical University of South Carolina.
