Clemson alumnus. Clemson employee. Alpha Phi Omega advisor. Jack McKenzie wears many Clemson hats. For more than 40 years, McKenzie has been a vital member of our Clemson Family. He’s been an inspiration to many as he has dedicated his life to enriching Clemson and bringing the principles of Alpha Phi Omega (APO) to the university since his induction in 1973.

McKenzie served as an advisor for the fraternity and held many leadership positions at local, regional and national levels. To honor McKenzie and his service to others, the Clemson APO alumni established a $50,000 endowment in his name to benefit student leadership.

Whether as a brother of Alpha Phi Omega, the senior director of the Office of Stewardship and Events, a Norris Medal winner, or a trusted university advisor to Gamma Lambda, McKenzie has influenced and inspired his fellow Tigers throughout his many years of service to Clemson – and beyond. His colleagues say that he will forever epitomize the spirit of the Clemson Tiger.

Say farewell

Development and Alumni Relations invites faculty, staff and students to honor McKenzie and his years of service from 3 to 5 p.m. April 26 at Owen Pavilion.
