The campus connector is a shared-use pathway designated for multiple modes of transportation that include pedestrians, bicycles, service carts and emergency access. This new route connects South Palmetto Blvd. to McMillan Rd. in a way that is safe and direct.
Currently, golf carts are using the South Cooper breezeway to access parts of campus, creating a hazardous mixing of pedestrians and wheeled vehicles. Bollards are being placed on Southeast/Soutwest corners of the library to prohibit this traffic. We estimate a full opening of the connector Monday Oct. 31. We appreciate your assistance in helping promote a safe campus for everyone
