There will be temporary road closures on the Avenue of Champions and Williamson Road on Friday, October 18, 2013, due to the replacement of the SkyCam cables in Memorial Stadium. The following roads will be closed during the times listed:
- 8 – 11:30 a.m. – Avenue of Champions (between Centennial Boulevard & Williamson Road)
- Noon – 3 p.m. – Williamson Road (between Avenue of Champions & Fort Hill Street)
Parking along the Avenue of Champions, including the C-7 parking lot, will be closed as well the orange commuter parking along the West side of Williamson Rd between the Avenue of Champions and Fort Hill Street to allow a large crane to access the area. If you are walking through this area do not walk near or under the crane.
The Orange CAT bus route will also be deviating from its usual route to avoid this area all day. Instead of traveling along the Avenue of Champions through the Breezeway to reach Fort Hill St, the Orange buses will deviate to S.C. Hwy. 93, onto Heisman Street and Klugh Avenue to reach Fort Hill Street. As a result, no CAT buses will be servicing the Breezeway stops in either direction or the Scroll of Honor stop. This deviation may cause some delays in the bus schedule, so your patience is greatly appreciated.
Due to the loss of commuter parking along the Avenue of Champions for SkyCam cable repairs and the reservation of C-9 parking lot for the Fall for Clemson event, students are encouraged to angle park along Ravenel Road to increase the amount of available parking.
