Siren tests scheduled for Wednesday, July 10

Clemson University and the Oconee Nuclear Station conduct periodic siren tests to ensure sirens are working properly. The next routinely scheduled campus test will be at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, to coordinate with the Oconee Nuclear Station siren test on the same day. Sirens will sound for approximately three minutes. This test is part of normal maintenance, and no public action is necessary. In the event of an actual emergency, you should go to www.clemson.edu/cusafety and tune your radio or television to an emergency alerting station for instructions and information. For more information on what to do when the sirens sound, visit the CU Safety Web page.

CU Safe Alert messages

In conjunction with the siren tests, CUSafe Alerts will be sent to all clemson.edu email accounts and text messages will go to those who signed up to receive them on their mobile phones. If you don’t receive a CUSafe Alert after 11:50 a.m. July 10, send a message to CUSafety-L@clemson.edu so we can investigate.
Information is available if you have not signed up to receive CU Safe text messages:
