Submit proposals for inaugural LGBTQ+ showcase

“Pride” is the annual series of LGBTQ+ programming spearheaded by the Gantt Multicultural Center and other collaborators across campus.  This year, the Gantt Center willl offer small- and large-scale events from March 25 through April 5. Interested Clemson members are encouraged to check Gantt’s webpage and Facebook for updates.

This year faculty, staff, and students are invited to submit proposals to share their work in 10 to 15-minute lightning round presentations on the afternoon of April 4, in Hendrix Center, Ballroom B, as part of the inaugural Queer Scholarship Showcase: 50 years after Stonewall. The Clemson University libraries, the PRTM Department, and the Harvey and Lucinda Gantt Multicultural Center will be sponsoring and celebrating this LGBTQ-themed scholarship.

“Scholarship” can include materials such as academic research, practitioner research, focus groups, curriculum development, grant writing, dissertations, conference presentations, etc. The lightning rounds will be used to highlight the major components of the scholarship, as well as the overall experience of conducting research related to the LGBTQ+ community.
