The United Way campaign is closing in on this year’s $130,000 goal. With two weeks left, and nearly $106,000 raised, campaign organizers believe the goal is more than attainable. They are confident in the continued generosity of Clemson faculty and staff.
The United Way campaign officially ends on Nov. 30, so those who have yet to donate still have time. The campaign serves as a great way to help the communities where you live. Join the more than 430 faculty and staff members who have donated so far.

The 2018 United Way campaign chair and Clemson head baseball coach, Monte Lee, has challenged first-time donors to pledge at least $4 per paycheck and previous donors to add at least $4 per paycheck to their previous pledge amounts. These donors will receive a pair of Clemson-themed United Way socks and an invitation to a special event at the baseball facility hosted by Lee. The event will take place at the baseball facility from 4 until 6 p.m. Dec. 5.
“At Clemson, we want to continue to promote our rich history of giving and our dedication to our local communities,” said Lee. “The annual United Way campaign is one of the best opportunities to do this.”
How to donate
Donations to United Way can be made through payroll deduction, check (made payable to United Way), cash, or online here.
Online donors should write Clemson University in the “Employer” line. Pledge forms are due Nov. 30 to Leslie Doss, 223 Brackett Hall or mailto:ldoss@clemson.edu. Payroll deductions will begin January 2019. Donors who want to continue their United Way deductions from previous years do not need to fill out a new pledge form.
