University prepares for Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Changes due to the FLSA go into effect Dec. 1, 2016. To ensure the university’s compliance of these new FLSA changes, the Office of Human Resources, in a coordinated effort with internal and external attorneys, reviewed each university employee for the purpose of determining nonexempt or exempt FLSA status.

Employees will receive an email notification from human resources if their FLSA status is scheduled to change. Training will be provided to support employees and supervisors of procedural changes.
