Benjamin Waldrep Anderson II, retiree – May 16, 2015

Benjamin Waldrep Anderson II, 63, died May 16, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Anderson, who retired in 2005, was the university’s General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Trustees. During his 28-year career with the school, he served under five presidents.

Anderson was a Clemson graduate and was inducted into the the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997.

He is survived by his family and friends.

Funeral on main campus; parking and shuttle information

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 on the main campus in the auditorium adjacent to Tillman Hall. Interment will follow at Cemetery Hill behind the football stadium.

Parking spaces on Calhoun Street adjacent to Tillman Hill will be reserved beginning 4:30 p.m. May 19.

Attendee parking will be remote (adjacent to the Memorial Stadium’s west end zone parking lot) with shuttles to and from the funeral and graveside services. Those who park in remote lots should allow at least 30 minutes travel time from the lots to the service.
