Visitation and funeral information

IPTAY invites members of the Clemson community to the IPTAY Suite at Memorial Stadium from 2-4:30 p.m., Thursday (Feb. 23) afternoon for an opportunity to visit Bert’s daughters Amy Lee and Kimberly along with other close friends to provide support and extend condolences.

A funeral service will take place 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Easley First Baptist Church, 300 East 1st Ave., Easley.

About Henderson

Henderson joined Clemson in 1978 as an athletic trainer. His administrative tenure at Clemson began when he served as business manager and trainer for university’s basketball teams. In 1984, he moved to Clemson’s Alumni Association as a field agent. In 1985, Henderson became IPTAY’s first associate executive director.

Henderson assumed IPTAY’s executive director position in 2004. In that role, he provided new opportunities with IPTAY’s annual giving levels, which helped the growth of IPTAY.

He is survived by two daughters, Amy Lee and Kimberly, who both graduated from Clemson.
