On April 24th, 2015 ME students from ME4010 and ASME gave engineering demonstrations to elementary students during the Engineering Expo.
They joined students from other engineering departments at Clemson to give interactive demonstrations to students from local elementary schools, who were on a field trip to campus to learn about engineering and science.
Specifically the ME4010 student gave demonstrations of their wind tunnels and manufacturing equipment that they built during the semester. The ASME students were showing off their Punkin Chunkin machines, with an explanation of how their trebuchet functions and a demonstration of a mini air canon that shoots out candy.
