ME graduate student places 2nd in AES poster competition

Rucha Natu, a PhD mechanical engineering student, placed 2nd in the poster session at the annual meeting of the AES Electrophoresis Society. Her poster was titled “Numerical model of streaming dielectrophoresis for stem cell sorting” and was selected among 25 posters. She is under the advisement of Dr. Rodrigo Martinez-Duarte, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering. Also in the poster session was Josie Duncan, a junior mechanical engineering student, who has been working in Martinez-Duarte’s lab for the last five semesters. The meeting was held during November 14-16, in San Francisco, California.
