Mechanical Engineering was named a finalist in the Innovations in Education catagory for the 2011 Innovisions Awards. The nomination came for an ME 401 class project; where teams of engineering students designed, built and delivered functional wind tunnels as educational platforms for fourth-graders at Anderson’s Midway Elementary School. Dr. Joshua Summers associate professor and the College of Engineering and Science IDEaS Professor is one of the leaders of the class project.
