Curious about Accessibility?

October 11, 2021

Clemson Online can help you make your learning content accessible for your students

If you have a question or concern about improving the accessibility of your instructional materials, Clemson Online has you covered! Our accessibility coordinator Michelle is available via our Bookings system for consultations about assistive technology, how to caption instructional videos effectively, and what you can do to improve overall accessibility in your Canvas course sites.

Orange leaves lay on gray gravel. Text that says Curious About Accessibility is enclosed within a mock search bar.

Key elements for Canvas accessibility include:

  • organizing content so it is clear and easy to read
  • ensuring all videos have accurate captions
  • including alt-text descriptions for all images
  • providing accessible PDFs

It can be overwhelming to try and make everything accessible on your own, so book a consult today! Michelle can walk you through the above elements or answer any other questions you have about digital accessibility.
