The Perception and Action (PAC) Lab at the Clemson University Department of Psychology conducts research investigating human perception and action capabilities. Our focus is primarily on Human Factors Psychology and Ecological Psychology principles.
Human Factors research investigates the impact that human capabilities and limitations have on interaction with technologies. In our laboratory, we use robotics, simulators, and virtual environment technology primarily in this research.
Ecological Psychology research investigates the direct perception of an environment. This approach to perception and action seeks to expose underlying laws of natural sciences to explain behaviors of living systems within their environments.
