On Thursday March 6, the Fightin’ Tiger Battalion completed the second stage of Tactics 2 training. Squads, led by a ML2 squad leader, picked up right where they left off in Tactics 2A. The squads began movement and handled the enemy threat. After neutralizing the OPFOR, the squads completed actions on the objective and moved off to call up reports. ML3 instructors led the squad leader in conducting an after-action report. Each squad received skill-level 1 training as well.
The ML3s completed another round of field training this past weekend. On Friday night, they conducted night land navigation and established a patrol base. Bright and early on Saturday morning the ML3s, along with select ML2s, began the first of two patrolling lanes. Each lane lasted roughly five hours. After the completion of the second lane, the Cadets were released to enjoy their weekend.
