This past Thursday, the 13th of November, The Fightin’ Tiger Battalion conducted an Introduction to Tactics lab. This Lab was focused on teaching the Freshmen and Sophomore Cadets the basics of squad level tactics that would help them be successful in their careers. The classes included: individual movement techniques (IMTs), formations used for battlefield movement and squad level movements that make use of both the IMT’s and squad formations. The culminating event for this lab consisted of a timed course and quiz to allow the Freshmen and Sophomores to display their knowledge attained. This lab is a great baseline of knowledge for the Cadets to build upon. This allows for Cadets to apply these skills to various situations that involve critical thinking and strategy. This was also a great opportunity for Juniors to mentor many of the Cadets of the battalion.
