B-Note April 13, 2017

Greetings fellow Tigers!

There’s nothing like a perfect spring day and 60,000 devoted Tiger fans turning out strong to show great support to our national champion football team! Tigertown was buzzing Saturday during the annual spring football game as the Clemson Family celebrated last year’s success and looked forward to what next year’s team will bring. It is still a great time to be a Clemson Tiger fan!

Last week our second Give Day at Clemson raised $2,062,864 to support scholarships, teaching and facilities during the 24-hour Give Day 2017 that began last Thursday morning. The funds raised more than doubled last year’s inaugural Give Day total. Clemson students, faculty and staff will benefit now and for years to come from the more than 3,000 individuals and corporations who united to move Clemson forward in a spectacular way. Read more about this year’s Give Day and view photos. Thank you for your incredible support for Give Day!

Every year in early April, Clemson celebrates Founder’s Day to honor the passing of Thomas Green Clemson in 1888. Founder’s Day also honors Clemson’s wife, Anna, whose gift of land to the state of South Carolina made Clemson University possible. Tiger Brotherhood hosted a ceremony at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pendleton with featured speaker, First Lady Beth Clements.
