Happy Game Day, fellow Tigers!

We are officially kicking off the football season today, and the atmosphere around our campus is electric. The Clemson family has been anxiously waiting for this since the Tigers won the National Championship in January. And what a way to start the new season! The ACC Network has officially launched, and the first live game on the new network is today’s match-up between Clemson and Georgia Tech. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, Gameday is here!

Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and Maria Taylor of ESPN College Gameday will be inside Gate 5 in the northeast corner of Death Valley previewing the game from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The show is scheduled to be simulcast on ESPN and ACCN from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. and then moves to ACCN exclusively from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., leading up to kickoff. This will be different from Gameday’s past appearances on the Clemson campus, and it will NOT take place on Bowman Field. For this special edition show, fans are encouraged to enter the stadium early and get to their seats to create a fantastic atmosphere for a national audience. Let’s show the nation why game day in Death Valley is so special!

Metal detector screening procedures are in effect at all gates at Memorial Stadium starting this season. You are encouraged to arrive early to ensure a smooth process. Gates are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m., and the clear bag policy is still being enforced. Visit ClemsonTigers.com/gamedaysecurity for details.

If you’re attending today’s game, be sure to join your fellow Tigers in Lot 5 at 5:50 p.m. for Tiger Walk as our football team makes its initial entrance into the stadium. In its 11th year, Tiger Walk has become a special game day tradition that brings together our Clemson family to celebrate our Tigers. You don’t want to miss it!

B-Loud and Tiger proud!
On nearly every car, you can see orange flags flying from windows; grills are being fired up; and a cadence count could erupt any minute. There’s nothing quite like fall in Clemson! We can’t wait to hear the first cannon in Death Valley today as we join with more than 80,000 of our fellow Tigers to cheer for our reigning National Champions!

To my fellow Tigers in Tiger Town today, enjoy the game day atmosphere. And to those who are cheering from afar, be sure to cheer loudly for our Tigers.

Go Tigers! Beat Georgia Tech!
