Eligibility

  • Students who will be classified as high school sophomores or juniors during the 2026-2027 school year are eligible to apply.
  • The program is open to public, private, and homeschooled students who live and/or attend school in Beaufort County.
  • Students must be in good academic standing with their school.

Requirements

  • Participants must attend 6/8 sessions to be eligible for graduation.
  • Students are expected to abide by a Code of Conduct during each session/activity/event.
  • Each student will have to complete a minimum of 4 community service hours during the program year and report to the program coordinator at the end.
  • Applicants must have transportation to and from the session meeting place, which is located at the Clemson Extension Office at 18 John Galt Rd. BJL will provide transportation for field trips during the sessions.
  • Accepted applicants will pay a commitment fee of $150 (Scholarships are available)
