- Session Focus: Teambuilding, Personality Assessment, Leadership Development and Etiquette
September: History & Art Day
- Session Focus: Students take a journey to the past and discover the rich history of the second major settlement in South Carolina while also learning the value of arts & culture in Beaufort.
- 4-H project focus: Developing communication skills
October: Business & Industry Day
- Session Focus: Students will receive an overview of the top industries, economic profile, and business climate for Beaufort County along with career options.
- 4-H project focus: Exploring college & career options and financial management
November: Health Care & Healthy Living Day
- Session Focus: Exposing students to the large health care industry in our county, the impact of the industry on our county and career opportunities in addition to being reminded of the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
- 4-H project focus: How to prepare a healthy and balanced meal
December: Social Issues and Community Service Day
- Session Focus: Overview of social issues affecting Beaufort County citizens. Students will hear from community service organizations that work to address these concerns. Participants will determine their Community Service Project at the conclusion of this session.
- 4-H project focus: Completing volunteer service hours
January: Education Day
- Session Focus: Students will learn policies and procedures behind the education system in Beaufort County.
- 4-H project focus: Practice public speaking and learn professional dress
February:Military Ties Day
- Session Focus: Students will have the opportunity to learn about the missions and activities of the Military and the roles and impacts they have in our local community.
- 4-H project focus: Training on how to manage meetings
March: Local Government Day
- Session Focus: Students will garner an understanding of how local government is organized, operated, and funded.
- 4-H project focus: Preparation for emergency situations and CPR training
April: Agriculture & Natural Resources Day
- Session Focus: Students will visit a local farm where they will learn more about agriculture and agribusiness’ economic impact. They will also visit a nature preserve to learn more about how our local ecosystems function. Students will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders and learn more about the many career opportunities available in agriculture and natural resources.
- 4-H project focus: Resume writing and interview preparation
May: Graduation
Graduation will take place in the evening with a reception to follow. The families of our graduates along with our sponsors and advisory board members are all invited.
