Thank you for your interest in the Clemson Veteran Living Library! In order to create a space for veterans to share their stories, we must first collect those stories. We invite Clemson current or former military members and their families to share their experiences and stories through the CVLL.
We strive to make story submission as easy as possible. We’ve created this document so that you know exactly what’s going on with your story as you work with an editor through the process.
The first step toward posting a story on the CVLL is for you to submit it through the CVLL Submit a Story form! This will be your opportunity to share your story and to suggest potential tags. The purpose of story tags is to make your story easier for readers to find. Once we receive your submission a CVLL team member will reach out to you to begin the editing process.
The editing process is a collaborative effort, meaning the editor will not finalize any changes or edits without your approval. To learn more about what we edit for and why, Click HERE.
The final step to the process is an internal review. In order to ensure that the story fits our guidelines and is ready to post, a second CVLL team member will review the final draft. If there are any changes to be made, they will be returned to you for approval.
After the final review is complete and we have your approval, the CVLL team member will post the story on the Clemson Living Library. Your story may also be shared in the monthly newsletter and on the Military and Veteran Engagement Facebook page. You will also receive the direct link to your post to view and share as you please.
Once your story is posted, that’s it! The process is complete, and your story is shared on the CVLL. If at any time you want to make any changes or remove/add any tags, feel free to reach out to the CVLL team and they will work with you to complete these changes.
