Description
The School of Computing at Clemson University invites applicants for a Lecturer position beginning August 2025. The position will focus on teaching (primarily for undergraduate classes), as well as advising of students, and other typical faculty responsibilities such a participation in departmental and university committees. The school includes over 60 faculty, and more than 1,100 undergraduate and 250 graduate students. The school offers BA and BS degrees in Computer Science, BS in Computer Information Systems, MS in Computer Science, MFA and MS in Digital Production Arts, PhD in Computer Science, PhD in Human-Centered Computing, and PhD and MS in Biomedical Data Science and Informatics. Clemson is the public land grant institution of South Carolina and is classified in the highest research category by the Carnegie Foundation. Clemson enrolls over 29,000 students. Research and economic development activities are enhanced by public-private partnerships at three innovation campuses and six research and education centers located throughout South Carolina. Qualifications
Successful candidates should have earned a graduate degree in computer science or related discipline by the start date. A record of successful teaching experience is preferred. Lecturers are eligible for promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer and Principal Lecturer.
