Clemson University officials continue to closely monitor COVID-19 and are actively engaged in daily planning in an effort to inform and reduce the risk to faculty, staff, students and visitors from the virus. For continually updated information, please visit our COVID-19 website.

THIS WEEK IN SOUTH CAROLINA
The South Carolina General Assembly reconvened in Columbia over the last two weeks. Both chambers have now adjourned Sine Die for the year.

The Senate passed the Appropriations Bill (H.5201) but the House elected not to take up the budget until January and referred it to the House Ways and Means Committee. The continuing resolution that was passed in June remains in effect and state government continues to be funded at 2019-20 levels.

The House and Senate passed H.3210 which allocates remaining funds in the CARES Act. The allocation includes $115 million to reimburse state agencies, local governments and public higher education institutions for COVID-19 related expenses. The bill was signed by Governor McMaster last Friday.
