Donations to the university’s United Way campaign totaled $125,014 this year, which once, again, surpassed the university’s $120,000 goal. A total of 259 faculty and staff participated in the campaign.

“Once again, the amazing faculty and staff at Clemson University have stepped up to help the community,” said United Way Campaign Chair, Cheryl Dye, Ph.D.

Dye said the funds would support more than 80 programs that serve the education, health, financial stability and basic needs of South Carolinians.

“Because of the generosity of the CU family, local children will start school ready to learn, families will have access to critical resources to meet their basic needs, and individuals will have the tools they need to become more financially stable” said Dye.

Organizers would like to offer their thanks to everyone who gave so generously to the United Way.
