Clemson’s new virtual guide supports faculty recruitment and retention

Recently issued from the Office of Human Resources, The Scholar’s Field Guide: Supporting Clemson University’s Faculty in Research, Teaching and Community, is a virtual guide promoting the recruitment and retention of the University’s faculty.

“I am delighted to have The Scholar’s Field Guide available now, online, to support our faculty,” said Robert Jones, Clemson executive vice president for academic affairs and provost. “I encourage everyone to take the time to flip through its pages to learn more about Clemson University, the ClemsonForward Strategic Plan, and resources available in support of your research, teaching, and community roles.”

The guide features exhaustive information about the equipment housed in the University’s premier research facilities and the resources that support excellence in teaching while also serving as an online portal to campus agencies, services, benefits and state-of-the art labs. Highlighting the collaborations that create an award-winning teaching and research experience, the field guide provides current and prospective researchers one-stop shopping to Clemson’s support services for its community of scholars.

“The Office of Human Resources did an outstanding job compiling The Scholar’s Field Guide and gathering input from all across Academic Affairs,” said Ellen Granberg, Clemson senior associate provost. “This comprehensive guide is filled with resources and services for faculty in support of their academic work.”
