How will recent tax reform affect your paycheck?

Due to the tax reform bill that was signed into law on Dec. 22, 2017, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is developing federal tax withholding guidance for employers to facilitate federal tax withholding calculations. The IRS expects to deliver new 2018 federal tax withholding guidelines to allow taxpayers to begin seeing changes in their paychecks as early as February 2018. In the meantime, employers, including Clemson University, are advised to continue to use the existing 2017 federal withholding tables.

Some states (South Carolina, New York, Rhode Island and California) have already issued revised 2018 state tax withholding charts.
