Shining bright: Clemson researcher makes national headlines

College of Science astrophysicist Marco Ajello and his team have made national headlines with their groundbreaking research regarding their measurement of all of the starlight ever produced throughout the history of the observable universe. To accomplish this, this team used new methods of starlight measurement and data from Nasa’s Fermi gamma-ray space telescope. To learn more about the research and the team’s findings, visit here.

Honoring heroes: Clemson officials welcome new Student Veteran Center

A new, expanded space dedicated to Clemson University’s student veteran population officially has a new home in Vickery Hall. Compared to the previous, much smaller space located in Tillman Hall, the new center was designed to bring student veterans together on campus and provide resources for their time at Clemson. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in November. For more on the center, visit here.

Veteran Clemson Cooperative Extension Agent Amy Dabbs has accepted the role of School and Community Gardening Statewide Coordinator after a national search to fill the newly created position for Extension’s horticulture team.
