Barbara Kennedy-Dixon, 58, of Liberty, died July 23, 2018. Regarded as one of the top female athletes in Clemson Athletics history, she was a two-time All-American who still holds Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball career records with 3,113 points and 1,252 rebounds.
Kennedy-Dixon, who is a member of the school’s Ring of Honor and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame at both Clemson and in the state of South Carolina, went on to serve the Department of Athletics for over 31 years in various roles. She was the senior women’s administrator from 2005–14 and most recently was assistant athletic director for Athletic Academic Services.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin, and two children.
