Barbara Neely Burts, 76, of Easley, passed away February 9, 2023.
Born in Pearisburg, Virginia, on July 2, 1946, she was a daughter to the late Carl Jasper Neely and Bessie Mae Neely.
While raising three children, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University. After 32 years of loyal and devoted service at Clemson University, she retired as a Computer Programmer Analyst. In addition, Barbara participated in the Civil Rights Movement in Starkville, Mississippi promoting equality and mainstreaming children into public schools.
