“During Hurricane Helene, we had to cancel two major CAFLS Alumni events scheduled for Friday and Saturday, which required much commmunication and coordination. Taylor was without power at her home Friday and still came to campus to help me coordinate the details and cancel all of the many reservations and committments we had out there! Lillian Essaf, Administrative Coordinator, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences

Lillian had never used InDesign before and took the time to watch YouTube videos and read support articles on how to make a digitally accessible PDF with InDesign. Her Clemson-branded document passed the Acrobat accessibility checker and only needed minor revisions to meet WCAG 2.1 standards and maximize usability. Lillian’s initiative and drive to learn and apply accessibility standards to document design are encouraging and commendable – efforts not to be overlooked!
