Marketing and Communications Video Services

“During the May Commencement ceremonies, the video services team set up a remote control room on the floor of Littlejohn to run the video board, livestream, closed captioning and ASL interpreting due to a tree falling within two hours of the event starting and knocking out the power to the Madren Center. Additional members of MarCom also stepped in to assist with drafting language and announcement should the unexpected challenge impact the event or livestream.” – Chas Williams, Executive Director of Social Media, Marketing and Communications

“Hours before Friday evening’s graduation ceremony, a tree fell at the Madren Center and the entire building (including the video studio) lost power. Friday evening’s ceremony was for all students earning master’s degrees and people from around the world were planning to watch remotely. In less than two hours, the Division of Marketing and Communication’s video team did a fantastic job under pressure to set up a remote-control room on the floor of Littlejohn to run the video board, livestream, closed captioning and ASL interpreting. 5,329 people viewed this important ceremony from 12 different countries. Amazing! Thank you!” – Jennifer Petersen, Academic Affairs Events Coordinator
