ME PhD student, Stephanie Hulsey, was selected as one of the 2016 Italian Machine Tool Technology Award (IMTTA) recipients

The Italian Machine Tool Technology Award is one of the Italian Technology Award (ITA) programs, sponsored by the Italian Trade Agency and UCIMU SISTEMI PER PRODURRE (the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots, Automation Systems and ancillary Products). The aim of this program is to enrich the engineering education of students and to advance knowledge on issues of importance within the three (3) industries of Metalworking, Glassworking and Packaging, to the next generation of engineering professionals. The IMTTA is comprised of a competition asking junior, senior, and graduate students at U.S. universities to submit a paper relevant to the innovation taking place in mechanical engineering related metalworking industry. Ms. Hulsey was honored to be announced as one of four recipients for her paper, “Study of ultrasonically processed polymer-nanoparticle solutions for electrospinning.” She was awarded with a one-week educational and cultural trip to Italy.
