Clemson Online is dedicated to ensuring that Clemson University produces high-quality for-credit online courses. To aid in this, Clemson Online developed a two-part online course certification process called ENCORE. Today, we are launching a new self-paced Canvas resource on how to meet the requirements of the first level of the certification process, the ENCORE Compliance Review.

View or Enroll in ENCORE Compliance for Canvas.

The Compliance level of the ENCORE review process verifies that your online course adheres to SACS-COC’s accreditation requirements, Clemson’s syllabus requirements, and Accessibility requirements from Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (pre-2017/2018 refresh) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. ENCORE Compliance for Canvas walks you through each requirement and provides reasons why that requirement is included in the ENCORE Compliance Review.

If you are partnered with an E-Learning Strategist (ELS) or are teaching a face-to-face course, you may not need to enroll in this course. You are, however, more than welcome to do so as the students in your future online courses and those using the online portions of your face-to-face courses will benefit.
