NIH is implementing a new Data Management and Sharing Policy effective for ALL applications to NIH due on or after January 25, 2023. Data management plans (DMP) must be submitted with any application that generates scientific data. Plans must specify what methods or approaches/repositories will be used for data sharing, determine and budget for any costs related to data management and sharing, and describe how investigators will ensure compliance with the plan, if awarded.
SAVE THE DATE: NIH, in conjunction with the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR) will conduct an informational session on the new policy on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 3 p.m. Register here. You’ll need a COGR account to register. If you don’t already have an account, request one here with your clemson.edu email address. The request could take five days to process.
The Division of Research and CU Libraries are also hosting a zoom presentation about the requirements on January 18th at 3pm.
