Are you unsure of what research is? Are you interested in research, but not sure how to start? Are you engaged in a research project but feel lost in the weeds? This class will prepare you to enter a research project the following term and better understand applying to STEM graduate school programs. The content is organized into the following four sections:
(1) What is research and who conducts research
(2) Undergraduate research opportunities and how to apply to them
(3) Skills and best practices for conducting research
(4) STEM degrees and graduate school
This 1 credit CI will take place this Spring Mondays from 9-9:50 AM and will be cotaught by Ms. Allard (associate director of the Creative Inquiry program), Dr. Kennedy (Materials Sci. & Eng.) and Dr. Alper (Physics & Astronomy). If you are interested, go ahead and read the draft syllabi (attached) and then sign up during your registration window. The course will be limited to 30 students.

*PEER & WISE and its services operate on the same schedule as Clemson University. The Portal and the accompanying request form will be unavailable during any University closure. Hours are subject to change.

STEM – ALL IN is a collaborative program between Clemson University’s College of Engineering, Computing, and Applied Sciences, the College of Science, and the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences to raise awareness of graduate education in the STEM fields. The program is designed to bring the best and brightest underrepresented minority students on campus and encourage them to pursue a graduate degree at Clemson.

The JPMC Software Engineering Program (SEP) is proud to announce that the 2022 Advancing Black / Hispanic & Latino Pathways Fellowship applications are live and we are excited for our Class of 2024 Black & Hispanic community to show up and show out!
